Meet the Visionaries

  • Founder of The Great Indian, Aman swapped a medical career for hospitality, gaining hands-on experience across every role in the industry. Inspired by his grandmother’s recipes, he launched Heera’s Kitchen during lockdown, which evolved into a top-rated takeaway.

Building on that success, Aman has now opened The Great Indian — a bold new gastropub concept that blends vibrant Indian flavours with the welcoming atmosphere of a British pub. Passionate about quality, everything is made from scratch — even the cocktail infusions. At just 25, Aman’s ambition is to bring The Great Indian to more communities.

  • A Michelin-starred chef from Amritsar, Chef Jolly brings deep-rooted knowledge of India’s diverse culinary traditions to The Great Indian. His approach blends regional authenticity with modern refinement, creating bold, approachable dishes that reflect both heritage and innovation. Known for his evolving techniques and emotional storytelling through food, his collaboration with Aman aims to redefine Indian dining in London.

  • With a background in property and finance, Sanjeev helped bring the vision of The Great Indian to life, championing the revival of a historic 1898 pub. Working closely with his brother Raj, he turned an idea into a reality, helping shape the business while keeping an eye out for future locations.

  • Co-founder and creative driver, Raj brings precision, style, and a guest-first mindset to The Great Indian. With a background in manufacturing and design, he curates every detail — from ambience to aesthetics — ensuring the space is both beautiful and authentic. Always pushing for excellence, Raj is key to the pub’s present success and long-term vision.
